Plethora of Pears

I got two full bags of pears in my basket this week. That's a lot for someone who doesn't eat pears raw. I plan to use them for this easy crock-pot pear sauce. (I may add more spices than cinnamon, though.) Pear sauce can be canned or frozen. It can be treated just like applesauce, which means it can be used as a fat replacement in baking. You could also mix it with yogurt or oatmeal.

If you feel like you have too much pear sauce, you can continue the cooking process to make pear butter. Or you could line your dehydrator with some parchment paper and make fruit leather!
